Terms of Service
1.1 Acceptance and Eligibility
By accessing or using grading-game (the "Service") at
grading-game.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of
Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
1.2 Description of Service
grading-game is a web-based application that lets photographers practice color grading on real RAW files and scans contributed by other photographers. The Service supports solo training sessions and multiplayer rounds where players grade the same photo and vote on each other's results anonymously.
1.3 Accounts
You may use the Service anonymously with limited features. To save your progress, view your gallery, and participate in stats tracking, you may sign in using Google or Discord OAuth. We never store your password — authentication is handled entirely by your chosen provider.
You are responsible for any activity occurring through your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page; this permanently removes your profile and game history.
1.4 Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate other players in multiplayer rooms
- Upload or submit content that infringes copyright, contains malware, or violates third-party rights
- Attempt to bypass session locks, vote-manipulation safeguards, or any other technical measures
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
1.5 User Content
You retain ownership of the grades (JPEG exports) you submit. By submitting a grade in multiplayer mode, you grant other players in the same room a limited, non-exclusive right to view your grade for the duration of that round and to vote on it.
1.6 Third-Party Content
Source files (RAWs, TIFFs, scans) belong to their original photographers. The license terms for each challenge are displayed on the game screen and in the download confirmation modal. You must respect those terms. See section 03 for details.
1.7 Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
1.8 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of grading-game shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
1.9 Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be announced via the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
1.10 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of France.
